What We Did

A project that meant a lot to us.

Icing Smiles is a nationwide nonprofit that provides custom celebration cakes and treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. As their PSA puts it, a cake can be just what the doctor ordered, a moment of normal when a birthday looks nothing like anyone imagined.

They came to Thibodeau Media Group for a production partner that understood the mission and what a birthday cake really represents to a family in the middle of the hardest thing they’ll ever face. We worked with them on concept, script, production, and post. The cake is for one child, but the moment belongs to everyone, and getting to help tell that story was the best kind of work.
